Ep. 23: Christian Wise-Smith

In this episode, EiC Aja has a chance to meet and catch up with former Fulton County District Attorney candidate Christian Wise-Smith. Christian ran on a notably progressive platform, securing 23% of the vote in Georgia’s June 9 primary. Christian speaks more about his platform in the context of the Black Lives Matter movement as well as shares about his meetings with opponents Fani Willis and current FCDA Paul Howard. Since the primary, Christian has given his endorsement to Howard.

The two also discuss the need for more organizers and community leaders to run for office, the events that have taken place in City Council regarding police reform legislation (or lack thereof), and what lies ahead for the movement in the future.
