Ep. 19: Joseph Guay

This week, Aja catches up with political artist Joseph Guay, perhaps best known for his Border Wall exhibit in Atlanta, the “Missed Attendance” exhibit about the Parkland school shootings, or his “Remnants of the Human Condition” exhibit featuring a piece about Trayvon Martin. This interview was recorded following Ahmaud Arbery’s shooting in Brunswick, Ga., in the county Joseph grew up, and was published a few days after George Floyd’s murder by a police officer in Minneapolis. The two discuss the issue of police brutality, racism in America, and what individuals — particularly white people — should be doing in this fight for justice.
