ATLANTA — Women on the Rise, Showing Up for Racial Justice (SURJ), Communities Over Cages, and Georgia Latino Alliance for Human Rights (GLAHR) held a press conference in Buckhead on Fri., April 16, to demand that Atlanta City Council vote no on a resolution to create a task force to work on using the cages in Atlanta City Detention Center (ACDC) to lock up more humans on behalf of the Fulton County Sheriff\’s Office.
