Ep. 33: Attorney Gerald Griggs (NAACP Atlanta)

Aja speaks with Gerald Griggs (Vice President of NAACP-Atlanta, Georgia Alliance, Atlanta lawyer, social justice activist) who is representing the family of Vincent Truitt. On July 13, 2020, Truitt was shot and killed by Cobb County police officers; he was 17 years old, unarmed, and Black. To this day, Truitt’s family remain in the dark as to who shot their son and the public has yet to see the body and dashboard camera footage of the incident. Griggs tells us about the case as well as the work that lies ahead for the movement and what Atlanta voters should look for in their city council and mayoral races.
