Ep. 10: Franklin Fisher & Lee Tesche (Algiers)

After seeing Algiers perform the “Last Show on Earth” in Atlanta on March 14, a day in the crux of the coronavirus outbreak in the U.S., Aja catches up with Frankie & Lee over the phone a couple weeks later after they were all settled into quarantine. The three discuss how the pandemic has affected the band specifically, the music industry as a whole, and where all this might be going.

That show in Atlanta was Algiers’ last show in their scheduled tour, which has been postponed. Its live recording is featured in whole on the band’s official Bandcamp page and their latest album ‘There Is No Year’ is available now on vinyl and all streaming services via Matador Records.
